Introducing the Newest Member of the EPN Board of Directors, Vivian Green

We are so pleased to officially announce and welcome Vivian Green as the newest member of the Eliminate Poverty NOW Board of Directors. Vivian joined us in August 2013, and she has been a wonderful addition to the EPN team. Here is a little about her, in her own words:

"I've had many years  of experience raising money (and friends) for the University of Michigan and Columbia University. For the last 17 years, I've had the privilege and pleasure to work for the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC). JDC, like EPN, works with poor and vulnerable populations, seeking to help give them the tools to best help themselves.

I first learned of EPN from Helen Greenberg. Helen's stories of visiting EPN projects in Kenya and Uganda moved me deeply. Further conversations with John and Judy and I was hooked. I am honored to join the Board of EPN, and look forward to meeting more fellow fans."

Vivian will also serve as Chair of our newly established Fundraising Committee. In this capacity, she will work closely with the EPN President and Grants Committee Chair to define funding needs, as well as organize, coordinate, and delegate work among committee members. Vivian provided valuable guidance on our annual 2013 fundraising campaign, and in the immediate future, she will be focusing her efforts on organizing a US fundraising trip for Lilly Oyare, founder and director of the Little Rock Early Childhood Development Centre. Make sure to keep an eye out for details about Lilly's trip to the US in an upcoming post!

We couldn't be happier to have someone with Vivian's knowledge, experience, and passion join Eliminate Poverty NOW. Please help us welcome her!
